Alpha Gray Security holds a private security services license from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, license #11-30615. You can look that number up on the Commonwealth’s own site. We would rather you did.
Officers screened before they are assigned
We do not hand a property to whoever is available. Officers are interviewed, screened against the Commonwealth’s requirements for the services they work, and assigned where their experience fits the site.
A written coverage plan, approved by you
Hours, duties, access control, escalation and who gets called at 2am. It is settled in writing before the first shift, so the officer and the client are working from the same page.
A report at the end of every shift
An activity log in plain language: what was checked, what was found, what was done about it. When something does happen, you have a record instead of a story.
A uniform is not the job. The job is knowing the property well enough to protect it.
Plenty of companies will put an officer at a door and call that security. It is not. An officer who has never walked the back of the property cannot tell you what changed overnight, and a site full of blind spots is a site nobody is really protecting.
Our officers take ownership of the property they are assigned to: they learn it, they walk it, they look after the people and the details in it, and they write down what they found. Present, attentive and accountable — on every shift, not just the ones someone is inspecting.

Alpha Gray Security is a private security company with its home base in Mount Crawford, Virginia 22841, licensed to operate anywhere in the Commonwealth. Our officers are actively serving Charlottesville today, and we are expanding into new areas as clients need them.
When you inquire, the person who replies is the person responsible for your property — not a call center reading from a script. That is deliberate. Security work goes wrong when the officer on the property and the people paying for it are not talking to each other.
